Hey friend, how is your week, mine is super. Today I am going to give you few advices on what to write and not to write on social networks. You know that social media is the system that allow people to communication, building relationships and sharing what is on their minds, but the question is, where we should draw the line and what to share or not to say about ourselves and family. The following video also explain what to say on social media.
- Don’t complain about your university or talk bad about your university
As public relations student you have to ensure and keep in mind that everything that you doing on social media it can build or break you image in the future. You have to think about your career, when you talk bad about you university on one can employ you because they will think that you will do the some thing.
- PR is about communication and sharing your opinion, but does not mean that you have to argue
Avoid arguments, usually lot of people get emotional and say something stupid and once you write or say something there is no turning back and remember there is no second chance on public relations.
- Don’t say something that will harm you in the future or harm the next person
- Do not share your address or the current location that you staying at.
As a public relations student is important to respect the next people because you need them as much as they need you and you will be working with people most of the time.
- Avoid to write things that you not sure about, right what you believe is true.

Thank you for the tips but am concerned though what if am I have a complaint about something or an issue at varsity how should I go about addressing the issue

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, when you want your organisation or company to have a good image is it start form you on how you behave on social media, you can't talk bad about you boss or the company and expect people to have a good perceptions toward you company.
DeleteThose are good guideline which people must bear in mind about what to do and what not to do on social media like for instead people love to publish their naked pictures on social networks forgetting that when you going to look for work your potential employee will do a background check on you

ReplyDeleteIs not the bad thing to express your feeling but is how you behave and how you write. you have to show some respect and think first before you publish your post and remember that whatever you write on social media it can create a good image or a bad image for you in the future.
